“I love the energy that Jose brings, I don’t always like the anxiety that comes with it. His anxiety. I want to really calm it down and put him in to the rhythm of the game. The game is played on a jazz beat, and he’s playing at a hiphop beat.”—Jerry Manuel
According to Adam Rubin, Mike Francesa has arrived in Port St Lucie. It doesn’t appear that either David Wright or Ryan Church will appear as guests. Good for them, why should the Mets accommodate one of the most biased and uninformed talk show hosts, when it comes to baseball, in the country. Personally, the Mets should give Francesa the cold shoulder from here on out. I don’t mind that he is a Yankees fan, but his lack of preparation has really started to bother me. That is one of the biggest reasons he says things (i.e. Church doesn’t like New York) that get him into trouble.
It’s time for Mike to stick to his NFL show and admit he is too much of a fan, and too lazy, to stay on top of a sport like baseball over the course of the season.- Mike Silva
“Putting WALL-E up against Bolt and Kung Fu Panda rather than letting it compete against Slumdog Millionaire and Benjamin Button is like requiring a 13-year-old chess prodigy to compete only against other children, regardless whether he could stand his own against adult grandmasters.”—John Gruber (via jeffrock) (via whatson) (via soupsoup)
